1.5 times salary, dependent on age. Additional life insurance also may be purchased for self, spouse and children.

60% or 50% of salary, depending upon plan elected.
- TIAA-CREF Retirement Account
The university matches employee contributions plus an additional 1% of salary, up to 6%. For example, if an employee contributes 5% of his salary, the university contributes an amount equivalent to 6% of his salary.

Amount of paid time is dependent upon position. The university also closes for major holidays.

Assistance
Tuition assistance for AU courses is available to employees and family members beginning the term after the hire date. The amount of tuition assistance is dependent upon age, level of coursework and relationship to the employee. AU also is a member of The Tuition Exchange and The Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program, enabling employees and family to be eligible for tuition assistance at more than 600 universities nationwide.
