Additional Resources: Travel Medicine ResourcesPlanning to travel to another country? Traveling to another country can be an exciting and wonderfully rewarding experience. However it is important that you familiarize yourself with the health/immunization requirements for the country you will be traveling to before you leave. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention, and the World Health Organization (WHO) are two excellent resources to utilize in learning about current health risks and immunization requirements for traveling abroad. The CDC and the WHO continually monitor health status and disease outbreaks around the world and have established immunization guidelines for international travel. Some immunizations are simply recommended while others may be required depending upon your travel destination and specific itinerary. The following is a list of travel medicine resources that you can use to learn about any potential health risks associated with your travel destination and to obtain any of the required/recommended travel immunizations. The column on the right lists the contact information for the CDC and WHO, and the column on the left lists a few local travel medicine clinics that will provide individual travel health consultations and administer any needed travel immunization. Both of the clinics offer a full range of travel immunizations and are federally designated Yellow Fever immunization sites.
