"When I first started at AU, I was interested in a variety of careers ranging from physical therapy to law. I determined that the best option for my various interests would be to declare my major as Undecided. My advisor recommended I take a myriad of diverse classes to see where my potential passion may be. During my first year I took classes in biology, criminal justice and communications, to see what would catch my attention. I soon realized science classes were not for me and studying law was not my forte. I learned communication was a strength of mine and knew I wanted a career working with people. During a meeting with my advisor, I was encouraged to take a few marketing and sales courses. Within those classes, my passion for business flourished. I recognized my personality and goals were synonymous with a Marketing major. With direction and my own motivation, I was also able to complete two minors: Sales Management and Communication. The guidance from my professors and academic advisors helped me along the path to a bright future in the business world."
