The Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action builds upon the university's Christian heritage by cultivating the religious and spiritual flourishing of individuals and communities at Aurora University. As the campus hub for campus ministries, community service and leadership studies, the center offers a refuge where students can explore their convictions, celebrate diversity and join forces to improve the world around them.
We encourage students to find meaning for their lives and careers through serving, leading and believing. A growing number of students are embracing that vision as the Wackerlin Center offers an increasing number of opportunities for them to make a difference.
The Wackerlin Center was created by a generous bequest of Helena Wackerlin, an alumna of the AU class of 1918. As a lifelong benefactor of Aurora University, she left a generous bequest that made the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action possible. The building's unique design and natural setting create a retreat-like space where members of the AU community contemplate and discuss issues of faith, responsibility and leadership.
