The Information Technology Services department at AU offers a wide range of services to students. Here's a quick summary. Your computer accounts. All AU students receive computer accounts for accessing Electronic mail, WebAdvisor, and Moodle. Each of these systems uses the same student username and password. See below for notes on these services. You should receive a letter describing how to access your various accounts. If you have password problems please contact Information Technology Services. Electronic mail. Your AU email account is your official electronic address while you are at AU. Not only is it the address that will be used by your instructors to contact you about your classes, but AU administrative offices regularly send important information, including billing and grade information, exclusively to this address. It is your responsibility to check your account regularly. Email forwarding is available if you prefer to read your mail from a different address. WebAdvisor. WebAdvisor is a browser-based service that provides you with direct access to your class schedule, grades, financial aid status, account balances, and other important information. A link to WebAdvisor is located on the AU home page at www.aurora.edu.
*The following apply specifically to the main AU campus in Aurora:
Wireless computing. Wireless computing is available at many locations on the Aurora campus. The system has been designed primarily to support wireless networking in public spaces, including the classrooms, the library, campus dining facilities, and the Dunham Hall atrium.
Computer labs. The two main computer labs are located in 101 and 102 Dunham Hall. These facilities are open on a walk-in basis for students whenever they are not in use by classes or workshops. Details about lab services are available at www.aurora.edu/its/complab.htm.
Residence hall computing. High-bandwidth computing is available in all campus residence halls for students bringing their own computers to campus (recommended! -- see PC Purchase Information at www.aurora.edu/its/studentpc.htm.)
