Accident/Sickness Insurance

Full-time undergraduate students and resident students

All full-time undergraduate students and all resident students are required to be covered by a health insurance plan. Aurora University offers a plan that provides benefits for hospitalization as well as out-patient treatment. The charge for accident/sickness insurance is $234 per semester. All full-time undergraduate and resident students are automatically charged for this coverage.

If a student is covered under an outside health insurance plan, they may waive the insurance charge by submitting a signed waiver form and providing proof of current health insurance (copy of health insurance card, front and back). These documents must be submitted to the Student Insurance Coordinator by the published deadlines (see below). Waiver forms are available from the Student Insurance Coordinator (Wilkinson Hall, Lower Level) or may be downloaded (Acrobat.pdf file).
