Illinois Private College Campus Police Act

In December of 2003, the Board of Trustees passed the Illinois Private College Campus Police Act. This allows the university access to vital intelligence information that affects Homeland Security. The Department of Campus Public Safety is a police department recognized by the State of Illinois.

Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act

On January 24, 2000, Section 485(f)(1) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 was amended to require that institutions of higher education advise the campus community where information concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained.
