Bachelor of Arts in Marketing

Marketing is one of the most rapidly growing areas of business, social service, and government practice. Marketing is the dynamic and creative process of developing, promoting, sustaining, and distributing products, services and ideas to consumers.

Marketing related activities include the planning and development of new products and services, organizing and managing distribution and sales channels for goods and services, the development of advertising programs, and the identification of target markets. The field of Marketing also includes the coordination of promotional, sales, and production efforts to assure profitable and cost-effective operations and long-term customer satisfaction.

As a field of specialization, marketing prepares students for careers in such areas as corporate product management, retail, wholesale, and industrial sales, advertising, market research, and international marketing. Features of the program include:

  • Connecting the classroom to the world through experiential learning
  • Practicing classroom skills through the George Williams Conference and Facilities Center
  • Observing the natural environment of organizations through field study and internships
  • Selecting an internship from pre-selected sites such as local resorts, golf courses, businesses, Chambers of Commerce, and recreation departments
  • Learning in student-centered classroom environments with small classes and personalized learning
  • Completing courses in eight week modules that meet only once per week

New classes begin every eight weeks and meet at convenient times for working professionals. Because we understand that many students are attempting to combine family, work, and study, we offer day and evening classes that generally meet once a week. To assist with tuition expenses, financial aid is available.
