Advanced Standing:
The BSW program at Aurora University prepares you to either practice
social work upon graduation or to continue your professional education
in a graduate school of social work. Advanced Standing allows students
to apply up to 27 semesters hours of their BSW courses toward the MSW
degree. The MSW degree consists of 60 semester hours. Students granted
advanced standing must have demonstrated excellence in scholarship in
the BSW coursework and in the BSW field internship.
Students have five years after receiving their BSW degree to apply for
advanced in the graduate program.
