The School of Experiential Leadership at the George Williams College of Aurora University on Lake Geneva provides degrees, certificate programs, and professional continuing educational opportunities utilizing experiential leadership and methodology.

The School of Experiential Leadership faculty and staff offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in recreation administration, the YMCA Senior Director Certification Program and the following experiential education programs: Outdoor Environmental Education (OEE), Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership Synergies (OWLS) an adventure-based program, and both Personal and Professional Development Workshops.

The mission of the School of Experiential Leadership is to provide students with the knowledge and performance competencies to succeed in leading their organizations. Our programs provide graduates with the educational background for career success and personal growth. Our faculty believes in the power of transformative learning from experiential education.


The School of Experiential Leadership faculty and staff strive to:

  • Be preeminent as a school specializing in the education of professionals for transformative and experiential leadership in outdoor education, recreation administration and related fields.
