Spartans Earn All-American Honors

AURORA, Ill. March 16, 2009 - Aurora University Spartan men’s indoor track and field throwers, senior Tom Sroka (Justice, IL/Argo H.S.) and junior Adrian Kibiersza (DesPlaines, IL/Maine West H.S.), earned 2009 Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field All-American honors following their respective performances in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Sroka earned his All-American honors in both the weight throw and shot put at the Championships. He finished fifth in the weight throw with a throw of 17.37 meters (57' 0") and eighth in the shot put with a throw of 15.94 meters (52' 3.75").

Kibiersza earned his All-American honors in the shot put at the Championships. He finished fourth in the shot put with a school record throw of 16.46 meters (54' 0").

In order to be an All-American, Championship participants must finished in the top eight at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Champpionships.
