Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. November 4, 2008 - Aurora University men’s soccer player, senior forward Chase Corricelli (Peoria, IL/Notre Dame HS), was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 2, 2008, his fourth time being named to this honor this season.

Corricelli continued his attack on the AU men's soccer record books. In AU's 8-0 win over Concordia University Chicago, Corricelli tallied a hat-trick and an assist. With the seven points on the day, he became AU's all-time career points leader to go along with his career goals record.

In the NAC tournament opening round victory over Lakeland College, he added a goal and assist helping AU advance to the semifinals. He currently has 129 points and 59 goals in his career.

On the season, Corricelli has 21 goals, seven assists, three game-winning goals and 49 points.

Corricelli and the Spartan men’s soccer team are in action next on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, when they travel to Concordia University Wisconsin in the semi-final round of the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. in Mequon, WI.
