AU Golfer Receives Conference Honors

AURORA, Ill. October 15, 2008 - The Aurora University Spartan men’s golf team finished third in the Northern Athletics Conference Golf Championships and in doing so, had one squad member named NAC All-Conference and the NAC Freshman of the Year.

AU freshman Brandon Vicory (Aurora, IN/West Aurora H.S.) was named the 2008 Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Golf Freshman of the Year and 2008 Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Golf All-Conference Team after posting a two-day score of 154, which placed him in a tie for fourth place. Parker shot a 76 on the second day, after posting an opening round 77.

The Spartans shot a team score of 642, good for third place in the NAC.
