Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 14, 2008 - Aurora University Spartan football player, sophomore kicker Ryan Subick (Mt. Olive, IL/Mt. Olive H.S.), was named the Northern Athletics Conference Football Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 12, 2008.

The week in which the Spartans defeated Maranatha Baptist Bible College 45-6, Subick remained perfect on the season with PATs and field goals, converting on all six PATs and his 28-yard field goal. This season he is 23-of-23 in PATs and two-of-two in field goals.

Peterson and the Spartan football team are in action next on Saturday, October 18, 2008, when they host Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Athletics Conference match-up. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. on AU Field in Aurora, IL.

This is AU’s homecoming and the new field and stadium will be officially dedicated and renamed with a ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m.
