NAC Announces Women’s Golf Post Season Awards

AURORA, Ill. October 7, 2008 - The Northern Athletics Conference announced its 2008 women’s golf All-Conference Team and postseason awards. The Aurora University Spartan women’s golf team, winners of the NAC Women’s Golf Championship for the third consecutive season, placed three players on the All-Conference team with Spartan Head Coach Chad Johansen being named NAC Women’s Golf Coach of the Year. The award marked Johansen’s third consecutive time being named the conference Coach of the Year.

The Spartan women’s golf program captured the Northern Athletics Conference championship with a two-day score of 798 (393/405). On the season, the Spartans won three meets (Concordia University Wisconsin Invitational, the Lakeland College Invitational and the NAC Championships).

Spartans named to the 2008 Northern Athletics Conference All-Conference Team are sophomore Kristen Richardson (Shabbona, IL/Indian Creek HS) (tied for fourth at the NAC Championships), junior Lindsey Pilmer (Aurora, IL/West Aurora HS) (sixth at the NAC Championships) and freshman Emily Densmore (Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley HS) (tied for fourth at the NAC Championships).
