Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. September 9, 2008 - Aurora University Spartan men’s golfer, freshman Brandon Vicory (Aurora, IL/West Aurora HS), was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 7, 2008.

On the week in which the Spartans finished third out of 11 teams in the Marian University Invitational, Vicory, in his first collegiate invitational, took home medalist honors shooting a 69 on the second day to win the event. He shot a two-day score of 147 with a 78 in the first round.

Vicory and the Spartan men’s golf team are in action next on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 2008, when they travel to the Edgewood College Invitational. Meet time is set for 10:00 a.m. on both mornings in Madison, WI.
