Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. September 3, 2008 - Aurora University men’s soccer player, senior forward Chase Corricelli (Peoria, IL/Notre Dame HS), was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending August 31, 2008.

On the week in which the Spartans had a 1-1 record, Corricelli tallied two goals, his 39th and 40th of his career; This puts him third on the all-time scoring list, 12 away from tying Hernan Campuzano for the scoring lead.

Corricelli scored his two goals in AU’s 3-2 overtime victory over the College of Wooster at Oberlin College on Friday, August 29, 2008.

Corricelli and the Spartan men’s soccer team are in action next on Saturday, September 6, 2008, when they host Wabash College in a non-conference match-up. Game time is set for noon on AU Field.
