Spartan Named Conference Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. April 8, 2008 - Aurora University men’s track and field thrower, sophomore Adrian Kibiersza (Des Plaines, IL/Maine West H.S.), was named Northern Athletics Conference Track and Field Field Student-Athlete of the Week.

At the Chicagoland Championships Kibiersza won the discus with a throw of 48.32m, finished second in the shot put with a school record throw of 15.77m and was 20th in the hammer throw with a throw of 38.05m. He set NCAA provisional qualifying marks in both the discus and shot put.

Next action for the Spartan men's track and field team comes on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12, 2008, when they travel to the Wheaton College Invitational. Meet time is set for 1:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in Wheaton, IL.
