AU Men’s Basketball To Sponsor “Senior Night 4 Shoes”

AURORA, Ill. February 19, 2008 - The Aurora University Spartan men’s basketball program, in conjunction with Senior Night, is proud to sponsor “Senior Night 4 Shoes” on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at AU’s Thornton Gymnasium. The Spartans will take on Northern Athletics Conference foe Lakeland College at 4:15 p.m. with the Spartan women’s team playing at 2:00 p.m.

The Aurora University men’s basketball team is asking all those who will be in attendance for the Spartans regular season finale in Thornton Gymnasium to bring a pair of new or used shoes to the game. The shoes will then be donated to the Aurora Hessed House along with donations of shoes that have been made by local shoe stores. All fans who donate a pair of new or used shoes will receive free admission to the afternoon contest.
