Northern Athletics Conference Announces Postseason Women’s Cross Country Awards

AURORA, Ill. November 1, 2007 - The Aurora University women’s cross country team had significant representation on the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference All-Conference team after finishing with a second-place finish in the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference Championships.

The Spartan women’s cross country team was led by Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year Morgan Jacquette (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake H.S.), Jacquette was the NAC Rookie of the Year following the 2006 season. Joining Jacquette as All-Conference selections were junior Kristen Renninger (Aurora, IL/Aurora Central Catholic) and sophomore Megan Cinto (Sugar Grove, IL/Kaneland).

Jacquette captured the NAC Championship meet with a time of 23:21.3, Cinto finished in 11th with a time of 25:01.1 and Renninger finished 13th with a time of 25:22.6.

Spartan sophomore runner Kristen Rasich (Plano, IL/Aurora Christian) was selected as NAC Honorable Mention All-Conference. Rasich finished 19th in the conference meet with a time of 26:03.8.

Next action for the Spartan women's cross country team comes on Saturday, November 10, 2007 when they travel to the 2007 NCAA Division III Regional Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m. in Winneconne, WI, at Lake Breeze Golf Course.
