AU Golfer Named All-Conference

AURORA, Ill. October 24, 2007 - The Aurora University Spartan men’s golf team finished third in the Northern Athletics Conference Golf Championships and in doing so, had one squad member named NAC All-Conference.

AU freshman Cameron Parker (Muncie, IN/Delta H.S.) was named to the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Golf All-Conference Team after posting a two-day score of 160, which placed him in a tie for fifth place. Parker shot a 77 on the second day, after posting an opening round 83.

The Spartan golfers took a two-shot lead after the first day, but were unable to hold on to win the tournament in tough wind conditions on the second day. The Spartans shot a team score of 666, good for a tie for third place.
