Spartan Selected as Conference Special Teams Co-Player of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 24, 2007 - Aurora University football freshman punt returner Sean Saglin (Milwaukee, WI/Pius XI HS) was named Illini-Badger Football Conference (IBFC) Special Teams Co-Player of the Week for his outstanding effort in the Spartans’ 49-19 victory over Concordia University Chicago.

On the day, Saglin accounted for 73 yards on four punt returns for an average of 18.3 yards per return. Saglin’s best return of the day, a 34-yarder, set up the Spartan offense (and eventual touchdown) at the Concordia four-yard line.

On the season, Saglin has returned 27 punts for 249 yards with an average of 9.2 per return.

The Spartans and Saglin are in action next on Saturday, October 27, 2007, when they travel to take on the Red Devils of Eureka College in an Illinis-Badger Football Conference match-up. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. in Eureka, IL.
