Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 16, 2007 - Aurora University women’s cross country runner, sophomore Morgan Jacquette (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake HS), was named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, her second time receiving the award this season.

Jacquette broke the AU school record by 32 seconds in one of the elite races of the season, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational. Her time of 22:48 in the meet is 1:48 faster than any other women’s runner in the NAC so far this year. She finished 26th out of 197 runners in the meet.

The next action for Jacquette and the women’s cross country team comes on Saturday, October 27, 2007, when they compete in the Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Championships hosted by Concordia University Chicago. Meet time is set for 11:30 a.m. at Schiller Park in River Forest, IL.
