Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 9, 2007 - Aurora University women’s soccer player, junior forward Allison Bailey (Dixon, IL/Dixon HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 7, 2007.

On the week in which Bailey led the Spartans to a 2-0 week and extended their win streak to nine games, she had two goals including the game winner on a penalty kick against Maranatha Baptist. In AU's 5-1 win over Elmhurst College, Bailey logged a goal and an assist.

Thus far on the season, Bailey is second on the team in points with 17 (six goals and five assists) and has a two game-winning goals and is one for one on penalty kicks.

Bailey and the Spartan women’s soccer team are in action next on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, when they travel to Dominican University for a Northern Athletics Conference match-up. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in River Forest, IL.
