Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 2, 2007 - Aurora University women’s soccer player, sophomore forward Jessica Novickas (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park HS) was named to the Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 30, 2007.

On the week in which Novickas led the Spartans to a 2-0 week, both NAC victories, she tallied three goals. Novickas tallied two in AU's 12-0 victory over Rockford College, including the game winner and had one goal in the Spartans 4-1 win at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Thus far on the season, Novickas has scored a team leading eight goals, dished out one assist and has a team high three game-winning goals.

Novickas and the Spartan women’s soccer team are in action next on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, when they host Elmhurst College in a non-conference match-up. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. on AU Field.
