Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. September 12, 2007 - Aurora University women’s cross country runner, sophomore Maorgan Jacquette (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake HS), was named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jacquette won her first collegiate individual championship and in doing so has the best time of any NAC woman runner this year. Her finish of 24:58.08 was over 30 seconds ahead of the second place finisher at the Concordia University Chicago Cougar Invitational.

The next action for Jacquette and the women’s cross country team comes on Friday, September 14, 2007, when they host the Aurora University Spartan Cross Country Classic at Oakhurst Forest Preserve. Meet time is set for 4:30 p.m. in Aurora, IL.
