NAC Announces Baseball All-Conference

AURORA, Ill. May 17, 2007 - The Northern Athletics Conference announced the 2007 Baseball All-Conference Team. Aurora University’s Spartan baseball team placed three players on the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Honorable Mention All-Conference team.

Senior pitcher Jonathan Turek (Lombard, IL/Glenbard East H.S.), junior outfielder Joe Infantino (Oak Forest, IL/Oak Forest H.S.) and sophomore shortstop Josh Damore (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake H.S.) were named Honorable Mention NAC All-Conference.

Turek had a 2-3 record with a 3.00 earned run average. In 57 innings pitched, he struck out 46 and walked 10 hitters. His 10 appearances this season placed him as the career record holder with 56 on his career. Damore hit a team leading .340 with one home run, one triple, 14 doubles, 34 runs batted in and 24 runs scored. Infantino hit .322 with four doubles, three triples, 34 runs scored and 23 runs batted in.

AU finished the season with a 17-21 record and were 8-12 in the inaugural Northern Athletics Conference baseball season.
