Sikorski Named NAC Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. February 21, 2007 - Aurora University women’s track and field distance runner, senior Fran Sikorsi (Lombard, IL/Driscoll Catholic H.S.), was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Sikorski set two school records at the Chicagoland Indoor Championship hosted by Lewis University. Sikorski placed sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:36.93, and recorded her record time in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:32.83.

Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team comes on Saturday, February 24, 2007, when they travel to the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Championships. Meet time is set for 10:00 a.m. in Kenosha, WI, at Carthage College.
