Sikorski Named NAC Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. February 14, 2007 - Aurora University women’s track and field distance runner, senior Fran Sikorsi (Lombard, IL/Driscoll Catholic H.S.), was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 11, 2007.

Sikorski set the school record in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:09.76 at the Dick Pond Invitational hosted by Lewis University. Sikorski placed seventh overall in the event, and was third among Division III athletes.

Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team comes on Friday, February 16, 2006, when they travel to the Chicagoland Indoor Championships at Lewis University. Meet time is set for 5:00 p.m. in Romeoville, IL.
