Spartan Named NAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. January 2, 2007 - Aurora University Spartan women’s basketball senior guard Naomi Guise (Springfield, IL/Southeast HS) was named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 24, 2006.

Guise led the Spartans to a 70-58 non-conference victory over North Central College. In the win, Guise had a game-high 25 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field and also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists.

With the victory, Guise and the Spartans enter the new year with a 6-3 overall record and 3-1 in the NAC.

Next action for Guise and the Spartan women’s basketball team comes on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, when they travel to Carthage College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. in Kenosha, WI.
