Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 11, 2006 - Aurora University women’s cross country runner, senior Fran Sikorski (Lombard, IL/Driscoll Catholic) was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 9, 2006, her third time receiving the conference honor.

Sikorski finished in 11th place at the Benedictine University Invitational with a time of 24:00.3. Sikorski was the top NAC finisher, and led the Spartans to an eighth place finish.

The next action for Sikorski and the women’s cross country team comes on Saturday, October 14, 2006, when they travel to the Jim Drews-Tony Neubuaer Invitational at the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse. Meet time is set for 11:30 a.m. in West Salem, WI.
