Spartans Grab Another NAC Victory

AURORA, Ill. October 6, 2006 - The Aurora University women's volleyball team picked up another victory in the Northern Athletics Conference on Friday night. This time, the Spartans took down Concordia (WI) University 3-0 (30-12, 30-27, 30-27).

Aurora jumped out to a commanding lead in the first game and rolled to a 30-12 win. The next games, however, proved to be more challenging.

The Spartans made a late comeback and managed to pull out a 30-27 win in game two and followed that up with another 30-27 victory in game three.

The Spartans were led by freshman Sara Stark who had 21 digs. Sarah Campbell also played well compiling 16 kills and 16 digs.

The victory continued a nice week for the Spartans, which has included a pair of conference wins over NAC foes.

The Spartans look to stay hot as they travel to Milwaukee on Saturday, October 7 to take on another NAC foe, Alverno College.
