What should I bring to school with me?

One of the most important times in your life will be your journey into college. We here at Aurora University understand that you will be very excited and busy preparing for your first year in college. Maybe this is not your first year in college but your first experience living in a residence hall. So, to better assist you we have compiled a list of some necessities and optional items that are suggested so that your stay at Aurora University will be as comfortable as living at home.

  • Refrigerator (4.1 cubic ft. or less)
  • Microwave (700 watts or less)
  • Blanket/Comforter
  • Pillows
  • Twin Sheets (extra long in most halls)
  • Telephone
  • Toiletries
  • Shower shoes
  • Shower caddy
  • Bath towels
  • Alarm Clock
  • Flashlight
  • Desk Lamp

If you do have a roommate we do suggest that you communicate with them to discuss what amenities each of you will be bringing.

Aurora University does not provide insurance for personal belongings brought to the residence hall. We suggest that you purchase renter's insurance before arriving on campus.
