Aurora University
Office of Admission and Financial Aid
Welcome from Dr. Carol Dunn,
Vice President for Enrollment
Whether you are a high school junior beginning the college search process
or an adult wanting to return for an undergraduate or graduate degree,
we invite you to explore Aurora University. The university is “an
inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning,” according
to the mission statement. Learning at AU is truly transformational, leading
to self-discovery as well as preparation for the world of work. Through
the educational process, you will develop your full potential and grow
in ways you never dreamed possible.
At Aurora University, you will connect with faculty who will know
you by name. The class size lends itself to lively class discussions.
Faculty come to Aurora because of their primary commitment to teaching.
You will select from 40 undergraduate majors, eight master’s
degrees, and the Ed.D. degree. An academic advisor will work with you
as you plan your coursework and think about future employment.
Aurora University’s admission and financial aid staff are committed
to working with you to ensure that your education becomes a reality.
Freshmen and transfer students work with freshman and transfer counselors
who are specially trained to understand their needs. The Center for
Adult and Graduate Studies provides an efficient and helpful entry
point for adults and graduate students. An AU education is surprisingly
affordable, and our financial aid staff works with all AU students
to answer questions and provide information about scholarships, grants,
loans, and federal work study.
I hope you will get to know our university community better by looking
at the various web pages. They are filled with useful information about
the people and programs that make up Aurora University. If you’re
ready, let’s begin.
