Just for High School Juniors
Tell
Me More...
Since its founding in 1893, Aurora University has developed a strong
tradition of excellence in teaching and learning. Here students,
faculty and staff share a belief in the transformative power of learning.
You will graduate from AU ready to make a meaningful contribution in your
career field and in your community.
Student Organizations
Studies show that students who participate in one or two activities
out of the classroom are more satisfied with their college experience.
You'll also develop lifelong friendships and memorable experiences.
With over sixty student organizations
on campus (as well as several seasonal athletics
teams), there is a place for everyone to get involved.
Our Graduates Say It All
95% of AU alums are employed or attending graduate or professional
school within six months of graduation. The
Office of Career Services helps students write resumes, apply for
jobs and prepare for interviews. We will help you make the transition
to the "real" world.
Scholarships
Based on your high school academic record and ACT score, you'll be
eligible for a university scholarship or grant. Over $10.5 million
in institutional scholarships and grants were awarded in 2007-08.
Financial
Aid
After you apply for admission, the next step is to complete the
Student Aid Estimator. You can download it from our Web site.
Based on a confidential evaluation of the Estimator, we will provide you
with a good idea of your need-based financial aid. We work with
you to determine what your costs will be and identify all the resources
available to you to meet those costs.
The AU Faculty
Over 85% of full-time faculty holds a Ph.D. or the highest degree
in their field. Faculty come to AU because of their excellence in
teaching. At AU you won't have any teaching assistants because we
don't use them. The student/faculty ratio of 15:1 ensures small
classes and individualized instruction.
