AU Student Authors to Hold Poetry Night

AURORA, Ill. — The Writers' Block, an Aurora University student club, will hold a poetry night and open microphone event on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Prisco's Next Door Café at 1118 Prairie St. in Aurora. Free to the public, the event will provide an opportunity for visitors to read poems and short stories or to perform public speaking or music.
Elizabeth Janvier of Roselle, N.J., club founder and president, will moderate the program. Other officers include T.J. Fetzer, Naperville, secretary; Jacquil Wright, Joliet, treasurer; and Kristen Agnew, Plainfield, public relations officer.
Refreshments will be sold by the restaurant.
