Pastor and Author to Speak About Church History

AURORA, Ill. — The Rev. Jonathan Dean, assistant pastor of Downers Grove United Methodist Church and author of a recent book, will speak and sign his books at Aurora University on Nov. 14.

Dean, a former AU adjunct professor, will explore "Why Should We Bother with Church History?" at 10 a.m. in Lowry Chapel in Eckhart Hall, 347 S. Gladstone Ave. in Aurora.

After his presentation, Dean will sign his book "Servitude and Freedom."

The public is invited. Refreshments will be served. The sponsor is AU's Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action.
