AU Students to Attend Model United Nations Conference

AURORA, Ill. — Local residents are among Aurora University students who will practice formulating foreign policy at a Model United Nations conference in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Oct. 29, through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Members of AU's Political Science Club will represent the south Pacific country of Fiji at the conference.

AU students will join students from other universities nationwide in addressing world problems, including global warming, the worldwide economic financial crisis, and educational and health-care crises. 

AU's delegation will include:

  • Aurora: Debra Kennedy, Political Science Club advisor and visiting instructor of political science
  • Batavia: Enisa Gonzalez
  • Maywood: Teddy Matthews
  • Oswego: Josh Black, Ryan Kabara
  • St. Charles: Richard Artz
  • Kansas City, Missouri: John Hatler
  • Cincinnati, Ohio: Christopher Gonzalez
