Williams Bay, Wis. — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and George Williams College of Aurora University is supporting the cause by hosting the third annual Rally for the Cure golf fundraiser.

The outing will be held on Thursday, October 1 on the GWC Golf Course located at Highway 67 and North Lakeshore Drive in Williams Bay.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with coffee and pastries. A shotgun start begins at 10 a.m. with a nine-hole scramble and prizes, and a full buffet lunch at 1 p.m. in the Beasley Campus Center located on the GWC campus at 350 Constance Blvd., just a short drive from the golf course.

Lunch will feature guest speaker Cathy Nemerovski, a lifelong health and fitness devotee, speaking on "Living Strong: Body, Mind and Spirit." Nemerovski, an AARP Fitness Ambassador for the Stepping Strong Program, and a certified fitness instructor with Mercy Health System, teaches numerous courses including the Strong Women program, yoga and Pilates.

Sponsors for the event include M&I Bank, Mercy Health System, Southeastern Wisconsin Title Company and George Williams College.

"Last year's event raised more than $4,000 and was a day filled with friendship, fun and a whole lot of spirit," said Linda Kuchenberg, assistant vice president, M&I Bank. "Rally for the Cure provides a positive way for people to come together to help eradicate this terrible disease."

All proceeds will go to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

Registration fee for golf and lunch is $75 per person. For lunch only, the cost is $25. To register, call Julia at 262-245-8597 or e-mail jrowehl@aurora.edu.
