AURORA, Ill. — Aurora University's Office of Admission has received an award for outstanding achievement in the booklets category in the 7th Annual 2009 Pinnacle Print Awards Competition.

The two-state printing competition is hosted by The Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association, the states' trade association for printing and the graphic arts.

Competing against 282 entries from printing and graphic arts firms from the two states, AU received an award of excellence for a viewbook printed by BFC of Batavia.

The designer was Jim Young of McReynolds & Young Advertising of Milwaukee. Young worked closely on the project with Carol Dunn, vice president for enrollment emeritus at AU.

The Pinnacle Print Awards recognizes outstanding craftsmanship in the creation and production of printed materials in Illinois and Indiana.  The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.

Joanne Rock, PII's executive vice president said, "Each year, the Pinnacle Print Award competition grows in size and intensity. The quality of the 2009 entries was impressive; print excellence abounds in Illinois and Indiana. Aurora University should be very proud of this fine achievement and the exceptional work done by its employees."
