Aurora University to Offer Weekend M.B.A. Program
6/18/2009
AURORA, Ill. – Aurora University will begin offering a flexible weekend M.B.A. program this fall catered toward working professionals whose schedules don't always allow them to take classes during the week.
The weekend Master of Business Administration program will offer classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays on three or four alternating weekends in eight-week modules. Students will take the same core classes as offered in the traditional M.B.A. program and learn from the same experienced faculty with real-world business knowledge.
Weekend students will also be able to take evening business classes offered Monday through Thursday and can enter the program at five points throughout the year, providing even more options for busy professionals seeking an advanced degree.
"Aurora University is proud of its long tradition of designing and delivering high-quality educational programs that serve working adults," said Dr. Shawn Green, director of the Dunham School of Business. "We understand that many professionals need to travel during the week, or have other obligations that prevent them from enrolling in our traditional M.B.A. program."
The weekend format will be offered to students on the Aurora campus pursuing an M.B.A. with a concentration in Leadership or Human Resource Management. AU provides individual academic advising, and financial aid is available for students who qualify.
