ACTIVITY Our chapter, Alpha Beta Epsilon, donated a total of 142+
books to Hall Elementary School in West Aurora District
#129, and Beaupre Elementary School in East Aurora District #131.
The R.I.F. classroom volunteers spent a collective time
of approximately 4 hours reading to third grade students, through
a series of book-talks, read-alouds, and other interactive
literacy methods.
 Children’s author Katherine Hannigan read from her best-selling young adult novel, "Ida B." to Freeman Elementary School fourth graders on April 12. She keynoted literacy fundraisers at AU and at Fearn Elementary School on April 13. Hannigan's visits were sponsored by the local chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an honor society for educators. |
