RN to BSN Completion Track:
AA/AS/AAS Diploma

Associate of Arts (AA)

Associate of Science (AS)

Students graduating with an AA or AS degree average 40+ SH of General Education classes.  Depending upon their coursework, these students have the option of either fulfilling AU's General Education requirements OR taking two (2) upper division classes.  (PSY3250 - Lifespan Development and BIO3050 - Pathophysiology are built into the BSN Completion Schedule and would satisfy this requirement.)
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) General Education requirements vary per school and average between 16 and 20 SH.  Depending upon their coursework, students with an AAS degree might have to take several classes beyond the BSN Completion Program in order to fulfill AU's General Education requirement.  Seeing  as the BSN Completion Program classes are one night per week, the student can take a required General Education class simultaneously in order to expedite their graduation.
Diploma Diploma Nurses have little or no General Education classes.  Students would be required to fulfill the General Education Requirements of AU.  The Student Advisement Office would evaluate all transcripts from their program and any other coursework  in order to give the student an accurate picture of how many classes outside of the BSN Completion Program they would have to take.
