Articulation Policy

RN Population Process
RN/BSN Completion students who graduated from an IDPR approved associate degree program. Thirty (30) SH of prior nursing education will be accepted in transfer as block credit as part of the transfer evaluation process.  This is in agreement with the IAI articulation process and will be used in lieu of requiring the NLN Mobility Profile II exams.  The block credit will be listed on the transfer portion of the student's transcript as "Prior Nursing Education."
RN/BSN Completion students who graduated from a non-Illinois associated degree nursing program If the student graduated from an NLN/NLNAC accredited program, the student will be handled like an Illinois associate degree graduate.

If the student graduated from a non-NLN/NLNAC accredited associate degree program, the student will be handled like a diploma graduate.  The exams must be completed prior to clinical nursing courses and will be transcripted according to policy.

RN/BSN Completion students who graduated from an Illinois/non-Illinois diploma program. Complete the NLN Mobility Profile II exams in Maternal/Child Nursing, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and Adult Nursing with a score of 45 or higher for 30 SH hours of transfer credit.  The exams must be completed prior to clinical nursing courses and will be transcripted according to policy.
