RN to BSN Completion Track:
Admission Requirements

The RN to BSN Completion Track is designed for associate degree and diploma Registered Nurses who are licensed in Illinois and/or Wisconsin and seeking the baccalaureate degree. The admission process includes a review by the University and the School of Nursing.

  • Apply for admission to Aurora University and submit official transcripts from all prior academic work to the Admissions Office.
  • Submit evidence of Illinois RN license with your completed application. 
  • Possess a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at Aurora University or other accredited higher education institution. 
  • Letter of reference verifying RN employment from current  supervisor.

Following admission to the University, all applicants are then reviewed for acceptance into the School of Nursing by the School's Admission, Policies and Standards Committee. Candidates will be notified in writing of the decision of the Committee. 

Preliminary transcript evaluation may be arranged through an appointment with an admissions Counselor. For more information, contact the Office of University Admissions 630/844-5533.
