Nursing requires knowledge and skill that demand a strong background in the humanities and social, behavioral, and biological sciences. Nursing is understood to mean a therapeutic helping relationship devoted to promoting, restoring, and maintaining the health of individuals, families, groups, and communities within the context of human responses to health experiences. The mission of the School of Nursing is to support the mission of the University in providing an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning.
