George Williams College Hosts Jeffrey Neal,
Former Chairman of Merrill Lynch

Williams Bay, Wis.— For those interested in private equity, the exotic world of emerging Eastern European markets or the happenings on Wall Street this summer, George Williams College of Aurora University will host a free fireside chat with Jeffrey Neal, an expert in private equity investments. This discussion is part of GWC’s Bistro Speaker Series.

The program will be held Thursday, July 19 in The Bistro at the Beasley Campus Center, on the campus located at 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay. There will be a reception starting at 5:00 p.m. followed by Neal’s presentation from 6 to 7 p.m.

Neal is co-founder of Horizon Capital, comprised of a highly professional and dedicated investment team with more than 60 years of combined private equity experience in the region. Prior to co-founding Horizon Capital in March 2006, Neal held the position of Chairman of the Global Investment Banking Group of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.

Neal earned his A.B. in 1967 from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1969, and is a member of the Board of Directors of The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Western NIS Enterprise Fund. He has had a summer home on Lake Geneva for over 30 years.

Members of the local community, along with GWC students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in an informal and engaging evening exploring the world of high finance.

“We strive to offer our M.B.A. students, as well as the local community, opportunities for personal interaction with business leaders,” said David Frost, assistant professor of business at George Williams College. “Jeff Neal’s insight on emerging foreign markets and the world of Wall Street will help provide a window into this exciting world.”

Upcoming speakers for this series include:  Sept. 25 – Martin Ellen, chief financial officer of Snap-On Tools; and Nov. 5 – Skip Bliss, owner of Bliss Communications and publisher of The Janesville Gazette.
