Spanish Language Course for Educators Offered by George Williams College of Aurora UniversityWILLIAMS BAY, Wis. — If you’re an educator and the most significant Spanish you know involves your favorite menu items only, it might be time to learn some beginning Spanish. George Williams College of Aurora University is now offering “Spanish for the Educator – Level 1,” a Spanish class designed for teachers with no Spanish experience, who want to learn basic communication skills. “With the growing Hispanic population throughout our school systems,” says Linda Olbinski, dean of the School of Professional Studies at George Williams College, “these classes are a necessary aid in helping teachers to be able to communicate with their Spanish speaking students.” Aurora University is an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning. Approximately 4,000 degree-seeking students are enrolled each year on the university’s Illinois and Wisconsin campuses, and the university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association to award degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The George Williams College campus offers 12 academic programs, unique conference facilities, and is home to Music by the Lake and other education and enrichment programs.
