New Technology Instruction for Educators Offered at George Williams College of Aurora UniversityWILLIAMS BAY, Wis. — There is no turning back; technology is here to stay. Those who want to be a part of today’s world will want to learn the latest in podcasting, digital video and SMART board technology. George Williams College of Aurora University is offering a series of classes in instructional technology for educators covering these topics and more. The Spring Institute will be held Monday, March 24 through Wednesday, March 26 and will cover a wide range of topics including technology introduction, SMART board basics, introduction to podcasting, introduction to digital video, software review and website review. For participants who wish to stay overnight, campus housing will be available at an additional cost. “These classes are perfect for the technologically inexperienced to the more seasoned professional,” says Linda Olbinski, dean of the School of Professional Studies at George Williams College. “We offer the kind of instruction that cannot be found with an online course – an interactive collaborative environment that encourages greater understanding and use of technology in the classroom. In addition, we plan to offer a certification in technological instruction in the near future.” Aurora University is an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning.
