January 23 Blood Drive at George Williams College of Aurora University
Williams Bay, Wis., January
9, 2008 —George Williams College of Aurora University will hold a local blood drive on Wednesday, January 23. Due to the holiday season, recent accidents and extreme weather conditions forcing the cancellation of various blood drives, blood supplies are exceptionally low. Participants are instructed to go to the Seabury Room in the Beasley Campus Center, from noon to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be welcomed. The campus is located at 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay.
The BloodCenter serves as a true community resource, collecting blood only in communities in which its partner hospitals reside. Following collection, scientists apply 14 separate tests to each unit to ensure that the blood provided to patients is as safe as possible. Being a donor helps ensure that the blood is there when needed.
“At George Williams College, we honor the concept of service to society. Hosting a blood drive for the local community is just part of that need to provide for those around us,” said Michael Moser, vice president and chief operating officer at GWC.
